It is with deep sorrow that we share the tragic news of the recent passing of our beloved Sima Setian Pariseau and her son, Dylan Pariseau. Both Sima and Dylan were devoted members of St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in Indian Orchard, with Sima serving as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for several years.
Our church community mourns the loss of a leader, and the wider community mourns the loss of one of the most generous and kind-hearted women we have known. Sima was the epitome of strength, our moral compass, and a compassionate leader. She was admired for her critical thinking and never backed away from difficult decisions. She was not only a great friend to many but also a loving mother, sister, and daughter. She was a beacon of light for her family and friends.
Sima was truly an angel on earth, spreading goodness, light, and love to all those around her, especially her beloved family. Her children, Dylan and Sophie, were the center of her life, and Sima's unwavering devotion as a mother was evident in her daily life. Raised with strong family values, she made it a point to check in with her mom every day and took charge of her parents' medical needs, ensuring they attended all their appointments and providing them with support for their everyday needs.
Following in his mother’s footsteps, Dylan was a bright, caring individual who also contributed greatly to the church community. He was an impressive young man with professional accomplishments and dreams during his time on this earth.
Dylan, a Saint Gregory church Sunday School graduate, was raised in the church community and carried many of his mother’s qualities. He was often found by her side, helping in every way possible.
As a vibrant member of the St. Gregory parish, Sima was a beacon of light that we followed. As a member of the Church’s Board of Trustees, she participated in the spiritual, national, educational, and social life of the parish. She organized and led many of our major events. Sima’s sound decision-making skills made her the go-to person for answers, and she was someone we all admired and trusted. Her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, quick-wittedness, boundless love, kindness and empathy towards others will forever be cherished.
They touched the lives of so many, and their passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express. May the Lord shine His light upon their souls in His eternal Kingdom, and may He grant solace to the surviving members of their family. Their departure from this world feels all too sudden. To say they will be greatly missed is inadequate, but we are confident that they will continue to watch over us from above. We will hold onto our many memories close in our hearts. She will continue to inspire us.
The loss of Sima and Dylan leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all until the day we are reunited with them in the arms of Our Lord.
Their memory will be eternal. Asdvadz hokinere loosavore. May God illuminate their souls.
